Have you been accepted to a U.S. college or university and are getting ready to go? This free pre-departure orientation will cover everything from American culture to tips for packing and success as a student in the U.S. Come with your questions!

Here is the rough schedule of events:

1:00 p.m.  – Arrive at the U.S. Consulate (Auckland) / U.S. Embassy (Wellington)

1:15 p.m. – Pre-Departure Orientation

3:00 p.m.  – Optional Visa interview Time (see more details below)

In order to attend the Pre-Departure Orientation and Student Visa Day, you must have already received your I-20 from a university. Upon registration, you will be given a list of additional items you need to prepare in advance and bring with you on the day, as well as details on how to schedule your visa interview. Please also note that your registration will be confirmed after you send us confirmation of acceptance from your American university via email.

This session is limited to 20 students. Unfortunately we do not have the space to accommodate parents or guardians. You must register at least 48 hours in advance.
